Partly cloudy, 8 am partly overcast skies, west winds 10 - 15 knots, barometer 30.1 and steady. Launched Louise Marion for the first time. 8:30 am, Zac and I drove off with the boat in tow. Rupert following. Arrived Burnham hHarbor 9 am. Prepped the boat and launched at 9:45 am. Rupert backed the boat into the ramp while I launched and handled lines. Rupert and I rowed to the sea wall close by where we moored and christened the boat Louise Marion. Champagne all around. Louise, Zac, Julie, Jesse, and Rupert celebrated.

Rupert and I sailed and rowed out of Burnham Harbor. Various courses throughout the morning. Boat handled very well first time out and pointed higher than expected. Very stable. Must ease into a tack though, as the large rudder will stop forward momentum if pushed to far to fast.

Of note, The only purchased items, the oar locks, broke almost immediately. Had to jury rig thole pins to row back into harbor. Centerboard not ballasted enough to stay down. Main sheet proved awkward. Need to add another block turn it eand for end.
